Fairly light turnout at practice
today. I'd say there were around 20 people in attendance.

Jr has returned! He was out early skating and taking some shots. No
one on one drills between him and Moose, but
here is a video of him skating
today.
Nik Havelid was skating around early in shorts and a windbreaker
(trying out some new skates he said) before practice so I figured
out quickly that it was an optional skate day today. Slava stuck his
head out of the locker room, and was dressed like Nik, so that
pretty much confirmed for me that it was an optional skate.
Here's a list of the guys who did not skate today: Kovy,
Holik, Slava, Recchi, Klee, and Havelid. There may have been more
but I left the practice to go outside and wait for the players to
leave to get a shirt autographed for my son.
Holik left the facility around 11:20 and was quickly followed out of
the lot by Slava and then Kovy.
Thorburn left with a car full of Wolves...Kiwi, Bryan Little, and
Boris.
Holik left and had a Fl Gator hat on. I asked him if he was a Gator
fan and he said no, but that he has a horse ranch 30 minutes from
Gainesville FL and that his daughter is friends with the daughter of
the football coach there. So, I guess Bobby got a hat from his
daughter's friend and he wears it now.
X apparently during the practice was sitting on the boards talking
about Boris and was asked what nickname we should call Boris. X (I
was not there...but was told) said that his nickname was or should
be "BoBo."
So, when Boris left with Thorburn, Little, and Kiwi we asked Chris
if BoBo was Boris's nickname and they all said yes and a good laugh
about it.
No observations today because I really did not observe anything at
practice other than it was an optional skate, that Holik has a
Florida Gator baseball hat, and that the new nickname for Boris is
Bobo.
