"TALKIN' 'BOUT PRACTICE"

GENERAL: Practices usually last one hour.  It is very cold inside the practice facility.  When the weather is cold outside it is even colder than normal inside the practice facility.  Be sure to dress warm.  The snack bar is usually only open during weekend practices.  There are some vending machines that sell candy and cold drinks…but no hot drinks.

Visiting teams sometimes use our facility to practice.  The practices by visiting teams are not scheduled.  They usually occur the day before the visiting team is to play at Philips Arena and on days when the Hawks play at home that night.

AUTOGRAPHS: Players only sign autographs as they are coming off of the ice after practice. They appreciate it when you have your pen and item ready for them to sign at the time you ask for the autograph. Players generally only will autograph 1 item per person. Some players will stop their cars as they are leaving the players’ parking lot and sign autographs.

The goalies come off the ice and set down their equipment either inside or just outside of the locker room before signing autographs.  So, if they walk by you and don’t stop do not panic….they will generally be back to sign autographs.
